David Hunter Moore overcome difficulties, especially throughout his adolescent years, to become the corporate success he is today.
David Moore of Hernando shattered both hips in the beginning of seventh grade, a severe condition that required Moore to spend more than nine months bedridden. Moore pushed through this hard physical fight and achieved a near-complete recovery after more than 16 operations - and an original diagnosis that he would never walk again.

Moore dropped out of high school when his father died a few years later. He subsequently moved into his late father's house and obtained a job at the repair company Advantage One to help pay the mortgage.

David Hunter Moore rose quickly through the ranks of Advantage One, despite unsuccessful acquisition efforts. Moore immediately went out on his own and started a lumping business, putting himself in a position to buy Advantage One when he was just 20 years old.
